This one-day Corporate Governance Training is designed for directors, managers, board members and others who interested in how a board should work, and the roles and responsibilities of a board and committee members. It is ideally suited for not-for-profit board members, small business directors, new directors and

• What is Governance?
• The Legal Requirements of the Board & Board Members
• Meetings – Process, Protocol and Policy
• Financial Matters for the Board – Basic Overview of Financial Board Reports
• Performance Indicators – How to Measure Board and CEO Performance

The session will be structured as an open workshop. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance and a manual for future reference.

Workshop Facilitator

Chris Davis has experience spanning 30+ years in business planning, business solutions, management and finance, both as a business owner/manager and as an advisor in many fields. An advisor & director with diverse industry background, Chris is entrepreneurial by nature, both in the establishment of new business ventures and in developing and implementing new ideas or introducing smarter ways to do business. With extensive exposure to products and services, bringing a broad range of skills, knowledge and experience to clients, Chris is particularly skilled in identifying and developing new opportunities and developing fit for purpose structures to implement opportunity.

Chris was the first person to develop and deliver a Certificate IV in Governance in Tasmania. He is an active member of the director community in Northern Tasmania and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
